SEAS R&D Engineer

The R&D department at SEAS is now looking for a new colleague with a strong interest in quality sound reproduction. We are searching for a candidate that will help to expand our knowledge, and contribute to new and exciting products within the growing loudspeaker market for meeting rooms and videoconferencing.

We are a small and dynamic organisation with good interdisciplinary collaboration. The R&D department has 4 co-workers, and is responsible for product development and technical support to production, sub-suppliers, and customers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage loudspeaker driver and system projects from idea to final product; including design simulations, construction, and production improvement.

Hand-over and follow-up on products through final production.

Provide technical support for other departments within SEAS.

Build external relationships with customers and suppliers.

Build internal relationships with marketing and purchasing departments.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Higher education within the areas of mechanics, vibration, industrial design, acoustics, and other relevant areas.

Talent for problem solving in a practical manner.

Ability to multi-task, simultaneously working with several partners on multiple, independent projects.

Experience with 3D-CAD, e.g. Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks.

Interest in, and some knowledge of, acoustics, measurement techniques, sound quality, mechanics, dynamics, magnets, glue, plastic, composites, metals, technical drawing, design, and 3D-modeling.
